The challenge
Club scheduling platforms book the airplane and treat the books as somebody else’s problem. The volunteer treasurer ends up reconciling a scheduler, a spreadsheet, and QuickBooks every month.
Every handoff between those systems is a place for a flight to go unbilled or a balance to drift, and clubs depend on volunteers who do not have hours to spare.
What we built
We made the ledger the system of record. Every flight that is booked, flown, and logged becomes a priced charge posted as a balanced journal entry. Statements are drafted for the treasurer to approve, and members pay by ACH or card through the club’s own Stripe account.
Scheduling, maintenance, and squawks feed the same data: a critical squawk grounds the aircraft and pulls it off the schedule automatically. It runs a real club today, with a full year of QuickBooks history migrated and reconciled to the penny.

The database itself refuses overlapping bookings, and grounded or maintenance-blocked aircraft simply cannot be booked.
Flight logging that bills itself
Members enter Hobbs and tach; FlightWay prices the flight at that aircraft’s rate and posts it to the ledger.
Maintenance and airworthiness
Inspections, components, AD compliance, and squawks, with critical squawks grounding the aircraft automatically.
Treasurer-approved billing
Charges accrue as they happen, monthly statements are drafted for approval, and nothing is sent automatically.
Real club accounting
Chart of accounts, balance sheet, P&L, A/R aging, and a full journal export, without a separate accounting package.
Passwordless and installable
Passkeys or magic links, role-based access, push notifications, and a progressive web app that works offline.
